At Covenant Grace Columbia, everything begins with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are committed to faithfully proclaiming Christ through expositional preaching that exalts God and feeds His people.
As a confessional Baptist church, we are rooted in historic Christian doctrine with a deep commitment to biblical truth. Our confession shapes both our beliefs and our practices, offering clarity in theology and unity in mission.

Christianity is not about what we do for God, but what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. Our identity rests in Him—and everything we do flows from that reality. The truths we confess are not new or original to us, but the faith once delivered to the saints.
Our beliefs come from God’s Word, the Bible—His self-revelation of who He is and what He has done for His people.
We joyfully affirm the teachings of Scripture expressed in the historic Christian creeds (Apostles’, Nicene, Athanasian, and Chalcedonian), and we hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of those truths.

The values below reflect who we are as a 1689 Confessional Baptist church—committed to the ordinary means of grace, centered on Christ, and grounded in His Word.
We believe all of Scripture points to Christ. Every sermon preaches distinctly both law and gospel—convicting the sinner, comforting the believer, and guiding the redeemed to rest in the finished work of Jesus.
God strengthens His people through the means He has appointed—His Word, prayer, the sacraments, and fellowship. We gather each Lord’s Day to receive His grace together with reverence and joy.
We gladly confess the historic 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as a faithful summary of Scripture’s teaching. It anchors our doctrine, shapes our worship, and guards our unity in the truth.
Our worship is regulated by Scripture—simple, reverent, and focused on God’s glory rather than human performance. We come to hear His Word, respond in faith, and rejoice in His grace.
We worship together as families, where children witness their parents singing, praying, and receiving God’s Word—learning by example what it means to love and worship Him. A self-serve nursery and catechism class serve little ones still learning to sit through preaching.
We live as citizens of heaven while serving God and neighbor in love through our earthly callings. The church’s mission is spiritual—to proclaim Christ’s kingdom through Word and sacrament, resting in His providence, and awaiting His return in hope.
We walk together in grace, bearing one another’s burdens, encouraging one another in holiness, and rejoicing in God’s steadfast mercy.
We stand in the stream of historic Reformed orthodoxy, holding fast to the doctrines of grace that magnify the glory of God in salvation.
